Timetable of Pitch for New Disc

Pitch date will be 28 October 2009 - 9 - 12 noon in the Lecture Theatre.  Laptop and Presentation Screen will be available for use.  This should be checked out beforehand to ensure working

All members of the team must participate in the presentation

PROJECT REQUIREMENTS TO BE MET AND ON WHICH YOU MIGHT BE ASKED QUESTIONS BY THE CLIENT
  • begin the process of building NewDisc's reputation
  • provide promotional information about the bands and their music to potential buyers
  • encourage our target market (teenagers) to make purchases from our launch range of music CDs
  • develop an ongoing interest in NewDisc's aim of bringing new musical talent to the marketplace, which will mean having to engage as fully as possible with both potential and actual buyers
Main criteria for winning the proposal
NewDisc will select the winning proposal based on your presentation and it is likely that the most creative and effective approach will win the contract, assuming it can be implemented within a reasonable budget.

Things to consider (What has to be done and Who will be involved in doing it)
  1. Generic jobs eg Project Manager, Managing Resources, Quality, Technical Expert,
  2. Job roles in making the presentation and delivering the presentation
  3. Resources for the Presentation
  4. Presentation
  5. Presentation content 
  6. Ensuring presentation meets criteria of the brief
Clients will give feedback on the following criteria
  • Are you a winner or loser?
  • Did you appear to understand the requiements of the project brief?
  • Were your proposed digital media products suitable?
  • Were you both creative and effective in your proposals for the delivery of the key messages?
  • Was the preparation for the presentation to the clent appropriate?
  • Overall was the team's response to the project brief suitable?
  • Did your knowledge and the effort you made show that you were capable of delivering the requirements of the project brief?
  • Were you passionate about what you were setting out to do?
  • Any other comments
